Hasanamapet village is under cheyyar constituency in Leggislative Assembly Elections and under Arni constituency in Parliament Elections. And it comes under Vembakkam union which is 10kms near by Kanchipuram.

     Our village in cheyyar Taluk at Tiruvannamalai District. It was once ruled by a rich lady called "Asanamaal". Hence the name became Hasanamapet. Previously its named as "Deivanthangal".

     The rate of education is more in this village. Most of the graduates are created from our village school itself. It has Punjayat Union Elementary School and a Private School which gives us better education from our young children. It helps us as a base study to build our career in better way.

     We have famous temples, which have individual festivals on their seasons. One of the most famous 10 days festival during Feb-March of every year from Angalamman Temple. Also the other famous festival as "Soora Samharam", which celebrated by the people of this village.
